Esther Dawolo

Clinical Trainee

I am a counseling graduate student with backgrounds in Psychology, Ethnic Studies, global education, and organizational transformation, committed to culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and holistic care. My approach draws from Narrative, collaborative, and somatic practices, grounded in the belief that people are the experts of their own lives and healing happens through connection, meaning-making, and reclaiming voice and joy. Having spent much of my career in corporate-based environments, I understand the impact of institutional stressors, and societal expectations on wellbeing. Having grown up navigating multiple cultural worlds, I understand how identity, belonging, and resilience shape wellbeing. I value the role of culture, embodied awareness, and creative expression in healing. Black wellness is important to me because healing must honor lived experience, collective resilience, and the need for spaces that support restoration, empowerment, and community care.
