Who are your therapists?
A list of all our therapists and other members of our staff can be found on our website under “Our Team”.
How do you ensure the safety of this Black-centered space, and what should non-Black participants know?
At Reviving Roots, our top priority is honoring Black healing. We ask everyone in our space to acknowledge that white supremacy exists and commit their words and actions to ending racial disparities in health and wellness.
We require all participants, regardless of background, to sign our Community Agreements before joining any event. These agreements set clear expectations for creating a safe and respectful environment where Black folks can heal, thrive, and feel supported.
For those who may struggle to understand the importance of this space or have difficulty respecting it, we’re happy to refer you to a therapy organization that can help you explore and unpack your discomfort in a productive way.
You can review our full Community Agreements here.
Is Reviving Roots a non-profit Organization?
Reviving Roots Therapy & Wellness is a dynamic Social Enterprise dedicated to empowering black individuals in their journey towards optimal mental health. Our passionate team is driven by the goal of revolutionizing the mental health landscape, dismantling barriers, and fostering a more inclusive and accessible approach to mental well-being. As a for-profit organization, we are committed to effecting positive change by increasing access to comprehensive mental health care and holistic wellness services. In support of this mission, we have established a fiscally sponsored fund that extends complementary and reduced-rate memberships to members of the black community, ensuring equitable opportunities for mental health maintenance.
