Black wellness to me means safety: safety to show up as you are, safety to be seen, safety to be in your body, to heal, play, learn, and most importantly, safety to live. As a Pisces, integrating this safety into healing the mind, body, and spirit has been a passion of mine ever since I understood that physical fitness, though important, can only take us so far. I dream of a world where adults and children can play as they please and embody the liberated energy that lies within them, before the world got its hands on them.
In my practice, I center the individual or familial definition of healing. From there, we laugh, play games, and use creative expression to learn by indulging in the safe space for self-discovery and environmental curiosity. I prioritize trauma-responsive approaches and a holistic therapeutic lens as a comprehensive avenue to heal the interconnected components of our identities. I hope to empower those I cross paths with and instill the knowledge that we are the authors of our stories, and it is our birthright to write and live the life of our dreams. You are the expert; I am simply the guide.
